Interesting William and Mary style stool with bold turnings in walnut. We will call it 19th century, but I believe closer examination will lead you to believe, as I do, that there are elements of the early period here. Rich color, h. 18", seat 14" x 14'. $550.
These chairs were used by this family for two generations as a "harlequin" dining set. All six are of mahogany with nicely polished finishes. The group includes a pair and four individual side chairs. All have the similar square legs with stretchers. I may have armchairs that could make the set of eight. Sold as a set of six.

The George III Chippendale armchair circa 1750-90 is a favorite and comfortable form. The balloon back is flanked by graceful molded serpentine arms on shaped seat. Below, the legs are molded and have recessed stretchers. Now covered in handsome printed linen. Fine old patina.

This charming early "Queen Anne" wing chair is English and has walnut as its primary wood. The chair was made in the early to mid 1700's and restored at times over the years. Our upholsterer of many years has removed various webbings and springs of later centuries and reglued the frame to a sturdy state. It is now freshly covered in an appropriate Christian Liaigre gold and gray silk damask. Please know that this fabric is of the finest quality and beautifully changes in the light as the day passes from smokey grey to golds. The chair has a bold stance with a shaped cresta bove serpentine wings over scrolled arms with vertically scrolled supports. The cushion is now filled with fresh down and feathers. Below, strong lappet carved cabriole legs rest on slipper feet. These are joined by block and turned stretchers to well braced rear legs. Now ready for your immediate enjoyment. Height 50", width at extreme arms 33", seat height at crown 20+"
#106. English lolling or easy chair, ca. 1760. Mahogany primary wood. $2600.
A central prospect door is reverse blocked and with a plain shell at the top. The lid has a leather writing surface on walnut and when closed shows flame grained veneers. The lid and each drawer have light wood shield escutcheons. Original bracket feet. A quality example in very nice condition. $2750.
The 18th century Georgian walnut desk is a most desirable 36" width with a lovely interior of valanced pigeon holes over a stepped and serpentine drawer arrangemenet with deep outboard drawers.
The shapely Chippendale wing chair, circa 1760-90 has walnut legs at full height with flaring scroll arms. this is a sturdy frame ready for your choice of fabric. With present weave type cover, $1495.
English 17th century chest or coffer, built for storage and to last the ages. The top and sides are paneled with molded rails. The façade is decorated with fanciful creatures and tulips, all in a rich dark patina. This could be used with great effect in a large hall below a tapestry or at the foot of the bed. W. 50”. An outstanding Regency set of six chairs. The side chairs are all in rosewood with gessoed and gilded leafage, reeding, rings, and rosettes. The splats are enhanced with carved scrolls and leaves. A gilt reed extends from the crest to the foot. The armchair is in period and a later addition. Circa 1810-30. The set (6) is $6750

Camelback type with full detail including rosettes on molded and scrolled arms, a serpentine front rail, slender fluted front legs, and raked rear legs. All is in an old finish. Length 73”. $3100.
