This highboy has the original fans. There are no major repairs or alterations and it is not a later association of parts. The pulls are original with minor losses. The finish is older and in good order. Repairs would be limited to minor drawer lip redo and adjusting drawer bottoms for normal shrinkage.
Overall, the highboy, probably Connecticut, is of good proportion and design with slender legs and well scaled feet. Dimensions are: H. 77 ½”, Upper case w. 34”, W. at cornice 37”, 19 ½” deep at waist.
1722. Canopy bed , Pennsylvania. Ca. 1830’s. Head W. 53”, H. 75”. Restored and complete. $895.
